In 1995, Tulku Pema Rigtsal Rinpoche founded Tekchok Ösal Döngak Rikpé Jungné Ling Shedra (monastic college) with the aim of upholding and transmitting the teachings of sutra and tantra, with a special emphasis on the works of the omniscient masters Rongzompa, Longchenpa, Lochen Dharmashri, Jigme Lingpa, Mipham Rinpoche, and Böpa Tulku.
For many years, Rinpoche personally taught the entire curriculum, offering daily Dharma discourses to the monastic community each morning from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. In recent years, senior monastics have completed their studies and graduated as khenpos and lopöns. They now continue Rinpoche’s efforts by teaching the curriculum to the younger monastics.
